Community Development Block Grant Program

      

This is a housing rehabilitation grant program for income eligible homeowners (owner/occupants) who need general home improvements that are code deficiencies in specific municipalities within Armstrong County, i.e. City of Parker, Kiskiminetas Township, & Manor Township.

Accessible Housing Rehabilitation Program

     

The Armstrong County Accessible Housing Rehabilitation Program provides home-repair funding to income-eligible renters or homeowners with verified physical disabilities living in Armstrong County. Accessible housing rehabilitation projects may include various home improvements that increase handicapped access, such as widening doorways; installing ramps and grab bars; eliminating mobility barriers and hazards; and other modifications that increase accessibility for applicants with disabilities.

    

HOME Program

      

The HOME Program is a housing rehabilitation grant program for income qualified homeowners (owner/occupants) who need general home improvements that are code deficiencies.

     

Housing Preservation Grant Program

      

The Housing Preservation Grant (HPG) Program, a countywide USDA Rural Development funded project, is intended for very low-income owner occupied homeowners.  The HPG Program will make eligible general home improvements.

      

Senior Home Repair Program

    

This program provides seniors, 60+ of age, with a grant to repair primarily, replacement if necessary, of their furnaces or roofs.

    


    

Basic Eligibility Requirements

    

  • Applicants must reside in Armstrong County
  • Applicants household income is within HOME Limits as established by US Housing and Urban Development
  • Applicants must own and live in the homes for consideration.
