Kittanning, PA –April 1, 2010 Commissioners sign proclamation honoring 2010 Armstrong County Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year

At today’s Public Meeting the Armstrong County Board of Commissioners adopted a Proclamation to honor the Armstrong County Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year for 2010. F & M Bank was this year’s honoree.

Mr. Richard Krauland was present to accept the proclamation.  He stated that collectively the employees at F & M Bank volunteer at over 100 charities and organizations.  They have formed a Volunteerism Committee and have assisted in documentaries promoting a few of the charities that they assist.  Documentaries have been made describing the benefits that volunteering provides to the recipient and the volunteer, showcasing: Life Choices, The American Red Cross and Orphans of the Storm.

F & M Bank has strived to keep a positive influence in Kittanning and to contribute to a pleasant occupational atmosphere.  The Board of Commissioners expressed their gratitude to the employees of F & M Bank for their contributions to the community.  They recognized that without volunteers many of the community services would not be able to offer the current level of programs or assistance.
